Hiiiii. I am so sorry.

So I was travelling during signups, which I mentioned in the bare bones signup along with a semi-promise to write a letter when I got home? And then I got home and I was tired and figured I would write a letter in a few days when I was feeling sparkier? And then I still hadn't written a letter and I thought wellll I love all these fandoms, I will be delighted with anything my recipient gives me, maybe I don't need to write a letter? And then it was definitely too late and I figured nobody was going to be checking for one anymore.

Then just now somebody on twitter was complaining that their recipient still hadn't written a letter, woe, and sudden guilt. So. On the off-chance that you have in fact been checking this journal periodically and with increasing frustration, 1) I apologise, and 2) here is a super quick letter. (ETA: Lies, this is really long, whoops. PROBABLY NOBODY IS READING IT, I don't know why I went on so.)

Most important note: Seriously, I love these fandoms, I will love anything you write me.

Things I am into in a general way: I love AUs, as out-there as you like. I also love canon fic! I'm just saying that AUs are a thing I'm cool with, if you had an idea but were unsure of it. I love femslash and het and gen and slash. I'm happy with explicit scenes, but don't need them. I love best stories that hinge on a relationship, whether it's romantic or otherwise, and where there are emotional stakes in that relationship: something that could be lost, something that's a point of conflict, something they want from each other. But stories that are about a character's relationship to self are also really cool, so, you know. If you want to write a character study, go for it.

More specifically:

Bring It On: The Musical

So I saw this while I was travelling, and loved it to bits, and somewhere around Danielle and Campbell's reconciliation ballad I started wishing so badly that Yuletide noms hadn't passed, because clearly this was the fandom of my heart and I needed all of the fic for it. Then during sign-ups I noticed it had been nominated, and was super delighted. I mean, I think it only got a couple of offers and requests, so probably there's less chance you're here for this one than either of the others, but if you are, a few things I think would be super awesome are:

I would kill for any kind of femslash in this fandom: Danielle/Campbell, Nautica/La Cienega, Campbell/Eva, any other ship that strikes you.

I adored Bridget's entire arc, and I would love something about her - pairing fic with Twig, friendship fic with La Cienega and Nautica, or a switch on that, or gen. Future fic, maybe, could be awesome for her, seeing how Jackson has changed her when she gets to college.

I'd love something on La Cienega, maybe something about what led up to or followed that kiss in the finale, or something about her joining the dance crew, or learning to dance.

Eva's a really fun character, I'd love to see something really over-the-top in her voice, like her making an action plan for cheer domination, or something about how far back her scheming goes, or what she achieves during the remainder of her high school years.

I feel like we missed out on the part where Danielle and Campbell really became friends, developed the friendship that made Campbell's betrayal so awful; it would be awesome to see that developing friendhips.

Skylar and Kylar are fun too, I'd love to see something on their friendship.

Peanuts

I love all of the characters, so knock yourself out. My favourites (but again, not meant to be a limitation!) are Marcie, Peppermint Patty and the Van Pelts, but seriously, if you want to write a story about Franklin and the Little Red-Headed Girl or something, I will be delighted.

Usual disclaimer that if you have a particular idea you're excited about I'd rather you run with that, but if not, I'm more into stories in which the kids are still canon-aged (amorphous though that is) rather than future fic. I love the comic strip convention of kids who are both children but also ageless characters grappling with existential self-doubt and interpersonal woes. When they're actually grown up, or high school aged, you kind of lose that, there's too much sense of actual age.

I think the exception to that might be AUs, if you felt like writing, say, Captain Lucy Van Pelt with a starship or something, I'd be good with the characters grown up for that. :)

Actually, no, you know what, I'd also love to read about the characters at college, Marcie and Pepperpint Patty as roommates, that sort of thing.

Pairing fic or friendship or family or gen! I'm good with any. I love the canon relationships between Marcie and Peppermint Patty, Lucy and Charlie Brown, Lucy and Linus (the beanbag battles, Linus's little-brother tactical logic, Lucy's casual terrorising), Sally and Charlie Brown (Sally's homework ♥), Linus and Charlie Brown (philosophy on the wall *g*).

I'd love to see something about Marcie's relationship to sports - she is literally the only one not into sports, but she still tries to fundraise for the team. Or something about Lucy and feminism (railing at the TV for reporting only on male sports stars, determined to be President). I would even love something about Lucy growing up, and how her feminism and confident playground despotism hold up in the face of being a teenaged girl, being a young woman.

I kind of love Sally and Linus's relationship too - it's the same kind of hopeless pursuit as Lucy and Schroeder, except that Sally has Linus on the run. It's a really fun dynamic, where Lucy and Schroeder just makes me sad, and a little mad.

And I'm always fascinated by the Little Red Haired Girl, tbh. I'd kind of love something about her. Or something about the other characters' impressions of her, how she impacted on other lives besides Charlie Brown's.

Lizzie Bennet Diaries

This is another one where femslash would be awesome. I'd love to see some Caroline/Lizzie or Charlotte/Lizzie. (Honestly I could even go for Mary/Lydia, if that was something you were interested in. By the end of their reconciliation I was fighting the urge to shout NOW KISS at my screen. /o\)

I also, obviously, ship Lizzie/Darcy and Jane/Bing. I feel less like I need fic for those since canon is going to give it to me and, you know, canon in this case is already fanfiction, but if you have an idea for a canon ship you want to write about I would be delighted to read it.

The LBD does friendship and especially family so well. I would love something about some of the siblings and cousins in this series - Charlotte & Maria, Lizzie & Jane & Lydia, Lydia & Mary, Caroline & Bing, Darcy & Gigi if you feel like it. I'd especially love to see something for their childhoods. We've had some hints about the Bennet sisters' childhood, but nothing at all about the Lus or Lees or Darcys. I'd love to know what Charlotte was like as a big sister when she and Maria were growing up, or some of their conversations now in which Maria babbles excitedly about Doctor Who and Pensieves, and Charlotte manages to retain none of it. Or something from Maria's POV about how proud she is of Charlotte, because she is clearly so. proud. of Charlotte and it's the best. Or Caroline and Bing as kids or teenagers, maybe, Bing effortlessly popular and Caroline having to work for it every single second. Or some of those theatrical productions Lizzie masterminded as a child.

I'd also love something about Caroline and Darcy, hanging out being judgy about people at parties. Or something about the friendship between Darcy and Bing or Dacy and Fitz, I'd love to see how they work together.
